Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do the group courses build on each other?

The primary goal of our group courses is to improve oral communication. This is not possible without basic knowledge of grammar, for example, which is why our teachers also incorporate grammar exercises into the timetable.
The course structure is only partially comparable to traditional language lessons. Content, methods, and also the organization within a course are tailored to the wishes and needs of the participants of the respective course week. This gives each participant the opportunity to develop as best as possible during this week based on their language level.
Our weekly group courses therefore do not build on one another, but participants who choose 2 weeks of the course will also be able to develop individually in the second week of the course, possibly with other participants and on other topics.

2. Where does the course take place?

The classrooms are planned based on the content wishes of the participants. For us, learning on site means that the opportunity is given to apply what has been learned in practice and at the same time to experience the respective city. Depending on the weather, teacher-led full-day trips to islands or museum visits can be part of the program, as can cultural experiences. There are no fixed group rooms, but the location of the lessons is flexible depending on the program; learning can take place in a café, in a park, in a group room in a library, on a ferry, in a museum, in a cultural center,...

3. Will I receive a certificate of participation?

Upon request, we will create a certificate of participation free of charge and send it to you by email.

4. Is a specific teaching aid used in class?

In group courses, the course material is organized by the teacher in the form of copies against reimbursement of the copying costs.
For individual lessons, the teaching materials to be used are agreed upon before the course begins.
